Hi guys! Today, I wanted to bring you a post talking about must have lip products. These are the products that I’ve been using for a while now and I know just how great they are. I’m going to be sharing with you my favorite lip liners, a lip stain, and a lip gloss that are my absolute go-to’s. I’ll also be sharing my tips to prep your lips before applying any lip color. Before I jump into the products, I wanted to share a few tips to prep your lips for a lip color. My first tip is to make sure you’re staying hydrated. If you’re dehydrated, your lips are going to be chapped and not ready for products. Drinking enough water is key. My second tip is to brush your lips. Brushing your lips with a toothbrush will help to get any dead skin off and will help you achieve that smooth, hydrated texture that you want. My final tip is to moisturize with a lip balm. My go-to lip balm is Carmex, it’s simple and I always have this on me when leaving the house. Now, let’s get into the products that you must have!
Lip Liners
Lip liners are honestly an underrated product. While the purpose of a lip liner is to line your lips and then apply a lipstick, that’s not the way you have to do it. I use lip liners just as I would a lipstick! I’ve found that NYX lip liners not only have a wide variety of shades, but they are long-lasting. NYX Suede lip liner and the original lip liners are my go-to’s. Chances are if you see me wearing a lip color, it’s NYX lip liner in the shade Ever. Liquid Lipstick
Liquid lipsticks and lip stains can be tricky. Oftentimes they’re overly drying or too matte. One of the best liquid lipsticks I’ve found that isn’t overly drying and lasts all day is Kat Von D’s Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the shade, Lolita. I’m sure many of you have heard of this one as it’s pretty popular. It definitely lives up to the reputation!
Lip Gloss
Buxom’s Full-On Lip Polish is by far the best lip gloss I’ve tried. I’m not much of a lip gloss girl and I lean towards matte lip shades, but this one is a game changer. Not only does it give a good amount of color, but it plumps up your lips. My go-to is Buxom’s Full-On Lip Polish in the shade, Erin. I like to wear this on its own or layer it over the NYX Suede Lip Liner in ‘Stockholm’ for the perfect pinky nude.
